BGC Group is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Support Specialist to join our team on a 12-month contract. This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute directly to the social, emotional, and physical development of youths requiring specialized care in the Central Region.

Responsibility
- Provide direct daily living support and supervision to youths with special needs.
- Facilitate therapeutic and recreational activities to encourage social interaction and skill-building.
- Monitor and document behavioral progress and developmental milestones accurately.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and family members, to implement individualized support plans.
- Ensure a safe and nurturing environment by maintaining strict hygiene and safety protocols.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of life-skills training programs.
- Provide emotional support and crisis intervention when necessary to ensure the well-being of the youths.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Higher Nitec in Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals with special needs (experience in youth work is highly preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with youths, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to social development and community service.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations or fast-paced environments.
- Proficiency in basic administrative tasks and reporting.
- Willingness to commit to a 12-month contract duration.
