Responsibility
- Perform shift-based data analysis on defect scan data to identify trends, anomalies, and potential yield detractors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (process, equipment, and quality engineers) to root-cause defects and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain defect classification systems and databases to track and report yield performance metrics.
- Generate detailed reports and presentations for management, highlighting key findings, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by proposing and testing process adjustments to reduce defect rates.
- Monitor and validate the effectiveness of defect reduction strategies through statistical analysis and yield trend monitoring.
- Assist in the troubleshooting of equipment-related defects and work with maintenance teams to resolve issues.
- Stay updated with industry best practices in semiconductor defect analysis and yield enhancement techniques.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, defect analysis, or yield engineering.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, Excel, JMP, or Minitab) and statistical process control (SPC).
- Strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes (e.g., lithography, etch, deposition, CMP).
- Experience with defect inspection tools (e.g., KLA, ASML, or similar) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work in shift-based environments and adapt to dynamic priorities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
