Responsibility
- Develop, optimize, and maintain plastic injection molding processes to ensure maximum efficiency and product quality.
- Conduct process validation, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis for molding defects or inefficiencies.
- Collaborate with R&D and production teams to design and implement mold tools, ensuring compatibility with manufacturing requirements.
- Monitor and adjust machine parameters (temperature, pressure, cycle time) to meet product specifications and reduce scrap rates.
- Implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to streamline workflows and minimize downtime.
- Perform material testing and selection to ensure optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Document and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for molding processes and train operators on best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in plastic molding to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Polymer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in plastic injection molding, preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in molding process optimization, tooling design, and defect analysis (e.g., warping, sink marks, flash).
- Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and molding simulation tools (e.g., Moldflow).
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other quality management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a data-driven approach to process improvement.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to relocate to Bali, Indonesia (work visa support may be provided for qualified candidates).
