Responsibility
- Design, evaluate, and optimize fire protection systems (sprinklers, alarms, suppression, etc.) for diverse projects, ensuring compliance with NFPA, local codes, and international standards.
- Conduct comprehensive fire risk assessments and hazard analyses for new and existing structures, providing actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and stakeholders to integrate fire safety measures into building designs without compromising aesthetics or functionality.
- Develop and review fire safety plans, evacuation procedures, and emergency response protocols for high-occupancy and critical infrastructure facilities.
- Lead on-site inspections, testing, and commissioning of fire protection systems to verify performance and adherence to specifications.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications for clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
- Stay abreast of emerging fire safety technologies, materials, and regulations, and advocate for their adoption where applicable.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide training on fire protection best practices and system maintenance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CFPS, PE) is a plus.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in fire protection engineering, with a proven track record in system design and project management.
- In-depth knowledge of NFPA standards, IBC, and local fire safety regulations in Indonesia or comparable jurisdictions.
- Proficiency in fire modeling software (e.g., FDS, PyroSim) and CAD tools (AutoCAD, Revit).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical data and codes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, authorities, and cross-functional teams.
- Experience with performance-based fire safety design and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is highly desirable.
- Willingness to travel to project sites across Bali and occasionally to other regions in Indonesia.
