Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and monitor workplace safety and health (WSH) policies and procedures in compliance with local and international standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate and lead safety training programs for employees and contractors to ensure awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, preparing detailed reports and recommending preventive measures.
- Liaise with government agencies, such as PUB and LTA, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and obtain necessary permits.
- Oversee the maintenance of safety equipment and ensure its availability and proper use on-site.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to integrate safety measures into project planning and execution.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incident reports for auditing purposes.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Safety, Occupational Health, or a related field.
- WSH Level B certification or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in workplace safety and health coordination, preferably in civil or piping projects.
- Experience working with government agencies such as PUB or LTA is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of local and international safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and engage with diverse teams.
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions under pressure.
- Proficient in using safety management software and Microsoft Office tools.
