Responsibility
- Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates for metalwork projects, including materials, labor, and overheads.
- Conduct contract administration, including tender evaluations, negotiations, and subcontractor agreements.
- Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and provide financial reports to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and client specifications for all metalwork installations.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to optimize design-to-cost efficiency.
- Perform site inspections to verify work progress, quality, and adherence to contractual terms.
- Resolve cost disputes and claims through effective negotiation and documentation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends in metalwork materials and construction costs in Bali.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management (or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on metalwork, structural steel, or similar projects.
- Proven expertise in cost estimation software (e.g., Candy, WinQS, or Primavera).
- Strong understanding of contract law, procurement, and tendering processes.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with Bali/Indonesia construction regulations and standards is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Professional certification (e.g., RICS, AIQS, or local equivalents) is advantageous.
