Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and monitor workplace safety and health (WSH) policies and procedures in compliance with local regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Organize and facilitate safety training programs for employees and contractors to ensure awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, prepare detailed reports, and recommend preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate safety measures into project planning and execution.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incident reports for auditing and compliance purposes.
- Stay updated with the latest WSH regulations and industry best practices to ensure continuous improvement in safety standards.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability among all employees and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Certified WSH Officer or equivalent qualification recognized by relevant authorities.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction or related industry.
- In-depth knowledge of local WSH regulations and standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess risks and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficient in using safety management software and tools for reporting and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
