Responsibility
- Develop and implement WSH policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations and company standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Organize and facilitate safety training sessions for employees to ensure awareness and compliance with safety protocols.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, prepare detailed reports, and recommend preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate safety measures into project planning and execution.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant WSH legislation and industry best practices.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement among all employees.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a WSH or safety coordination role, preferably in the construction industry.
- Certification in WSH (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of local WSH regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and engage with employees.
- Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and develop practical safety solutions.
- Proficient in preparing reports and maintaining detailed safety records.
