Responsibility
- Oversee daily workshop operations, including tool and equipment maintenance, calibration, and inventory management.
- Coordinate with service teams to ensure timely availability of resources for field operations and repairs.
- Implement and enforce workshop safety protocols, equipment handling procedures, and compliance with industry standards.
- Monitor equipment performance, schedule preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, service logs, and maintenance histories using digital or manual systems.
- Optimize workshop layout and workflow to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Source, evaluate, and procure new tools or equipment as needed, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Train and supervise workshop staff on proper equipment usage, safety measures, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in workshop management, equipment maintenance, or service operations.
- Strong technical knowledge of industrial tools, machinery, and diagnostic equipment.
- Proven ability to manage inventory, track assets, and maintain detailed documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Familiarity with safety regulations (OSHA, ISO standards) and quality control processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, or workshop management software.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to coordinate with teams and vendors.
