Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and monitor the Workplace Safety and Health Management System (WSHMS) in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and hazard analyses to identify and mitigate potential safety risks.
- Investigate and document workplace incidents, near-misses, and accidents, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Organize and deliver safety training programs for employees, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure compliance and awareness.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate safety protocols into daily operations and project planning.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, audits, and training sessions for compliance and reporting purposes.
- Stay updated on local and international safety regulations and ensure company practices align with the latest standards.
- Promote a culture of safety by encouraging proactive reporting of hazards and fostering employee engagement in safety initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a WSH Officer, preferably in the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of WSHMS frameworks, local safety regulations (e.g., Indonesian OSH laws), and international standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively address safety concerns and train personnel.
- Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, develop safety plans, and manage incident investigations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
