Responsibility
- Prepare and analyze cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
- Monitor project expenditures and compare them against budgets to identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, verify measurements, and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, financial statements, and other documentation to stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring projects remain within budget and on schedule.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to optimize resource allocation and cost efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, contracts, and project documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of cost management and contractual procedures.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
- Knowledge of local construction regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification or membership in a professional body (e.g., RICS, AIQS) is a plus.
