As a Quality Assurance Testing Engineer, you will play a critical role in inspecting, testing, and validating construction materials, processes, and final outputs to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications. Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive quality control inspections on construction materials, equipment, and workmanship to ensure adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
- Develop and implement testing protocols for structural integrity, material strength, and safety compliance in alignment with local and international regulations.
- Document and report test results, defects, and non-conformities with clear, actionable recommendations for corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve quality issues and improve construction processes.
- Perform on-site and laboratory testing of concrete, steel, soil, and other construction materials using specialized tools and techniques.
- Monitor and audit subcontractor work to ensure compliance with quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) plans.
- Prepare detailed QA/QC reports and maintain accurate records for internal reviews and client presentations.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, new testing methodologies, and regulatory changes to enhance quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. Certification in QA/QC (e.g., ISO 9001) is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in quality assurance/testing within the construction industry, preferably in large-scale projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction materials, testing methods, and international standards (ASTM, ACI, BS, etc.).
- Proficiency in using testing equipment (e.g., compression machines, ultrasonic testers, rebound hammers) and software for data analysis.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills to identify and mitigate quality risks.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills in English to document findings and present to stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, often under tight deadlines in fast-paced construction environments.
- Familiarity with Bali’s construction regulations and local building codes is advantageous.
