Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive workplace safety policies and procedures in compliance with local and international regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and hazard analyses to identify and mitigate potential safety risks.
- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, or near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective action recommendations.
- Organize and deliver safety training programs, workshops, and toolbox talks for employees at all levels.
- Ensure all safety equipment, PPE, and emergency response systems are properly maintained and accessible.
- Collaborate with project managers and supervisors to integrate safety best practices into daily operations.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incident reports for auditing and compliance purposes.
- Stay updated on emerging safety trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices to continuously improve safety standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Safety Officer, preferably in the construction or industrial sector.
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) is highly advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of local safety regulations, including Indonesian OHS standards and international frameworks (e.g., ISO 45001).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively address safety concerns.
- Ability to conduct training sessions and engage with diverse teams to promote a safety-first culture.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software for reporting and documentation.
- Physical ability to perform site inspections and work in various environmental conditions.
