Join PMQS Construction Solutions, Inc. as a Quantity Surveyor (Mechanical) and play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact construction projects in Bali. This position specializes in cost estimation, budget management, and financial control for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), and Fire Protection systems, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with engineers, architects, and contractors to provide accurate cost assessments, value engineering solutions, and risk mitigation strategies. Your expertise will drive efficiency, minimize waste, and maximize profitability while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Based in the vibrant and dynamic region of Bali (Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, or surrounding areas), this role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge construction projects in one of the world’s most sought-after destinations.
Responsibility
- Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates for MEP and Fire Protection systems, including materials, labor, and equipment.
- Conduct feasibility studies and value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
- Develop and maintain budget forecasts, cash flow projections, and cost control reports.
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to negotiate contracts and secure competitive pricing.
- Monitor project expenditures and ensure compliance with financial and contractual obligations.
- Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and BOQs (Bill of Quantities).
- Identify and mitigate cost risks through proactive analysis and contingency planning.
- Collaborate with project managers to provide financial insights for decision-making and dispute resolution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in MEP and Fire Protection cost estimation for construction projects.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar) and MS Excel.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, tendering processes, and procurement strategies.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment with tight deadlines.
- Certification in Quantity Surveying (e.g., RICS, PQS) is highly advantageous.
