Responsibility

  • Develop, implement, and monitor workplace safety and health policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations and company standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
  • Organize and facilitate safety training programs, toolbox talks, and workshops for employees and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and health legislation, including OSHA standards and local construction safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, and other related documentation.
  • Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate safety practices into daily operations and project planning.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability among all employees and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certification in Workplace Safety and Health (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in workplace safety and health coordination, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of local and international safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and influence employees at all levels.
  • Proficient in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety audits.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, to meet project deadlines and safety requirements.
