Responsibility
- Process and reconcile workers’ compensation accounts receivable transactions with precision.
- Monitor and manage AR aging reports, identifying and resolving delinquent accounts.
- Collaborate with insurance carriers, clients, and internal teams to verify claim details and ensure accurate billing.
- Prepare and distribute monthly AR statements and financial reports for stakeholders.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payments, denials, or underpayments promptly.
- Maintain meticulous records of all AR activities, including communications and adjustments.
- Assist in developing and implementing process improvements to enhance AR efficiency.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external partners regarding AR inquiries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, preferably in healthcare or workers’ compensation.
- Proficiency in AR software (e.g., QuickBooks, Epic, or similar) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of medical billing codes (CPT, ICD-10) and insurance claim processes.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
- Experience with ERP systems and data entry accuracy is a plus.
- Familiarity with U.S. healthcare revenue cycle is highly advantageous.
