Responsibility
- Prepare and cook a variety of Western dishes, including burgers, pizzas, grilled meats, and platters, adhering to high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient food preparation during peak hours.
- Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control across all menu items.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering ingredients to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
- Follow food safety and hygiene protocols to uphold a clean and compliant kitchen environment.
- Develop and suggest new Western menu items based on customer preferences and seasonal ingredients.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on Western cooking techniques and best practices.
- Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (2+ years) as a Western Cuisine Chef or in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or resort.
- Strong knowledge of Western cooking methods, including grilling, baking, frying, and plating.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with a diverse kitchen staff.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and HACCP standards.
- Creativity and passion for developing new recipes and improving existing dishes.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy kitchen equipment.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian) are a plus.
