Responsibility
- Prepare and cook high-quality Western dishes according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop seasonal menus and special culinary offerings.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and meet hygiene and safety standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to maintain optimal stock.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workspace in compliance with health regulations.
- Adapt recipes and portions to accommodate dietary restrictions and customer preferences.
- Participate in kitchen operations during peak hours, ensuring timely and consistent service.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Western Chef or in a similar role in a fine dining or upscale restaurant.
- Proven expertise in preparing a variety of Western cuisines, including steaks, pastas, sauces, and desserts.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen best practices.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
- Creativity and passion for culinary innovation, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills (e.g., Indonesian) are a plus.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
