Responsibility
- Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
- Follow standardized recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency and quality in every dish.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workspace in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Support the team in setting up and breaking down catering stations for events of varying sizes.
- Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation and ingredient preparation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure timely and efficient service during high-volume events.
- Adhere to HACCP and other food safety regulations to guarantee guest satisfaction and safety.
- Contribute creative ideas for menu development and presentation under supervision.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen or catering environment (entry-level candidates with culinary training are encouraged to apply).
- Formal culinary education (e.g., diploma or certificate) is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with basic cooking techniques (e.g., chopping, sautĂŠing, baking).
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/move heavy kitchen equipment (up to 20 kg).
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices (certification is a plus).
