Responsibility
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to maximize revenue from weddings, social events, and group bookings across Grand Mercure properties in Bali.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships with wedding planners, corporate clients, and high-net-worth individuals to secure long-term business.
- Conduct personalized consultations to understand client needs, propose tailored event packages, and close sales with a focus on upselling premium services.
- Collaborate with marketing, F&B, and operations teams to design competitive, high-value event proposals and contracts.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and local demand to identify new business opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Oversee the full sales cycle, from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up, ensuring exceptional service and client satisfaction.
- Achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets while maintaining profitability and brand standards.
- Represent Grand Mercure at industry events, bridal fairs, and networking functions to promote our venues and services.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in wedding/social event sales, preferably in luxury hotels, resorts, or high-end event venues.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive hospitality or events market.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with fluency in English (additional languages a plus).
- Strong understanding of Baliās wedding and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) industry and local market dynamics.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, sales forecasting, and revenue management tools (e.g., Opera, Delphi).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, to accommodate client meetings and events.
- Degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Passion for delivering memorable experiences with a client-centric approach and a keen eye for detail.
