Responsibility
- Supervise and coordinate daily WWTP operations, ensuring compliance with local and national environmental regulations.
- Monitor and control wastewater treatment processes, including chemical dosing, sedimentation, filtration, and disinfection.
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of operators to maintain high standards of safety, efficiency, and performance.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment, identify maintenance needs, and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation of plant operations, including water quality tests and system performance metrics.
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with engineering and management teams to optimize treatment processes and reduce operational costs.
- Respond to emergencies, troubleshoot system failures, and implement corrective actions promptly.
Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a WWTP Operator, Supervisor, or similar role in industrial or municipal wastewater treatment.
- Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment systems, including activated sludge, MBBR, or SBR processes.
- Familiarity with Indonesian environmental regulations (e.g., PP No. 22/2021, PERMENLHK) and ISO standards.
- Certification in Wastewater Treatment Operations (e.g., AHU, K3) is a plus.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Ability to work in shift patterns and handle physically demanding tasks in an industrial environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office, SCADA systems, or water quality monitoring software.
