Responsibility

  • Develop, update, and deliver comprehensive training programs for operational staff in mining and logistics, ensuring alignment with industry standards and company policies.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements across departments.
  • Design and produce training materials, including manuals, presentations, e-learning modules, and hands-on simulations.
  • Facilitate on-site and virtual training sessions, ensuring engagement and knowledge retention.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics, and implement improvements as needed.
  • Collaborate with HR and department heads to ensure training programs support business objectives and compliance requirements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in mining operations and logistics to keep training content relevant.
  • Mentor and coach employees to foster a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Logistics, Human Resources, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in training, operations, or a similar role within the mining, logistics, or heavy industry sectors.
  • Proven track record in designing and delivering effective training programs for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong understanding of mining operations, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance (e.g., OSHA, local mining laws).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse groups.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, LMS platforms, and other training tools; familiarity with e-learning software is a plus.
  • Certifications in Training & Development (e.g., ATD, CIPD) or Occupational Health & Safety are highly advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel to mining sites or regional offices as required.
