Responsibility
- Lead and supervise a team of warehouse staff, ensuring high productivity and adherence to company policies.
- Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of fresh produce and perishable goods, maintaining optimal conditions.
- Implement and monitor inventory control systems to minimize loss, spoilage, and discrepancies.
- Coordinate with logistics and transportation teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Enforce strict hygiene, safety, and quality standards in compliance with industry regulations.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on warehouse performance, stock levels, and operational challenges.
- Troubleshoot issues related to equipment, workflow bottlenecks, or staffing shortages, proposing effective solutions.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Proven track record in managing fresh produce, perishables, or temperature-controlled goods.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations, including HACCP or other food safety standards (a plus).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and basic data analysis.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays, as needed.
