Responsibility
- Supervise and lead warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance management to ensure a productive and motivated team.
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures, including cycle counting, stock reconciliation, and reporting discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a culture of safety and accountability.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflows to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance space utilization.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to align warehouse activities with business needs and demand forecasts.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, turnaround time, and inventory accuracy, implementing improvements as needed.
- Manage warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring proper maintenance and safe operation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations, including OSHA standards or equivalent local regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
