Responsibility
- Assist the Warehouse Shift Leader in overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
- Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular audits and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and procedures to create a secure working environment for all staff.
- Train and mentor warehouse staff on best practices, operational procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Coordinate with logistics and transportation teams to facilitate the timely dispatch and receipt of goods.
- Assist in resolving any operational issues or discrepancies that may arise during the shift.
- Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory movements.
- Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse productivity and efficiency.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or assistant role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills.
