Responsibility
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
- Manage and lead a team of warehouse staff, ensuring high productivity, accuracy, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization and layout to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Implement and maintain inventory control systems to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize discrepancies.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and transportation teams to ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse activities in compliance with company policies and local regulations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order fulfillment rates, inventory accuracy, and turnaround times.
- Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse performance, challenges, and improvement initiatives to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in manufacturing, transport, or logistics industries.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (IMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and ERP software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations, including OSHA or equivalent standards in the Pacific region.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Willingness to relocate to Papua New Guinea or Vanuatu and adapt to a multicultural work environment.
