Responsibility
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing delivery vehicles, ensuring accurate and damage-free handling of goods.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Perform inventory counts and assist in cycle counting to ensure inventory accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of orders by picking, packing, and labeling products for shipment according to customer requirements.
- Inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or invoices, reporting any discrepancies or damages.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse operations and improve efficiency in daily tasks.
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to workplace safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in warehouse operations or forklift operation is a plus.
- Proven experience as a warehouse assistant, forklift operator, or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain one upon hiring.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) safely.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management and data entry tasks.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
