As a Utility Systems Technician, you will play a critical role in optimizing our facility’s infrastructure, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. Responsibility
- Monitor, operate, and maintain utility systems including power distribution, HVAC, compressed air, and water treatment systems to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems to uphold operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in utility equipment, minimizing downtime and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system upgrades, energy-saving initiatives, and process improvements.
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation of maintenance activities, system performance, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and adhere to all safety, health, and environmental (SHE) policies to create a zero-incident workplace.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new utility systems and equipment as part of facility expansions or upgrades.
- Provide technical support and training to junior staff and operational teams on utility system operations and best practices.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in utility systems maintenance, industrial power systems, or facility management, preferably in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, PLCs, and industrial automation.
- Certification in electrical safety, HVAC, or industrial maintenance is a plus.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues under pressure.
- Familiarity with GMP, ISO, or other regulatory standards in a controlled environment.
- Strong communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
