Responsibility
- Plan, implement, and deliver engaging infant care and preschool curricula tailored to children aged 2 months to 4 years, focusing on bilingual (English/Chinese) development.
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and social interaction.
- Monitor and document each child’s progress, including developmental milestones, behavior, and learning outcomes, and communicate effectively with parents.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to create a cohesive and inclusive classroom experience, adhering to best practices in early childhood education.
- Assist in daily routines, including meal times, nap schedules, and hygiene practices, ensuring the well-being and comfort of all children.
- Support the lead teacher in classroom management, including organizing activities, maintaining cleanliness, and preparing learning materials.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, and professional development workshops to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on educational trends.
- Uphold the school’s policies and values, promoting a positive and respectful atmosphere for children, parents, and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children in a childcare or educational setting.
- Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin) is highly preferred; proficiency in one language is required.
- Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and age-appropriate teaching methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their growth.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to the dynamic needs of a preschool setting.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) is a plus.
