Responsibility
- Perform a variety of ultrasound scans, including whole abdomen, thyroid, breast, KUB, and HBT, adhering to established protocols and turnaround targets.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures while maintaining a professional and empathetic demeanor.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and functioning optimally.
- Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to provide accurate and detailed imaging reports.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Educate patients on the ultrasound procedure and address any concerns or questions they may have.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to maintain a sterile and safe working environment.
- Stay updated with advancements in ultrasound technology and best practices in diagnostic imaging.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Sonography, or a related field.
- Certification as an Ultrasound Technologist (e.g., ARDMS or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in performing diagnostic ultrasound scans.
- Proficient in operating ultrasound equipment and interpreting imaging results.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
