Responsibility
- Perform high-quality ultrasound scans, including whole abdomen, thyroid, breast, KUB, and HBT, adhering to clinical protocols and safety standards.
- Ensure accurate and timely imaging results to support physician diagnoses and patient care plans.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, troubleshooting technical issues as needed.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining processes to ensure comfort and cooperation.
- Document and archive imaging findings with precision, following healthcare compliance and data integrity standards.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare teams to interpret results and provide insights.
- Adhere to infection control and radiation safety protocols to maintain a secure environment for patients and staff.
- Stay updated on advancements in ultrasound technology and diagnostic imaging best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology, Medical Sonography, or a related field. Certification in Ultrasound Technology (e.g., ARDMS, RDMS) is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, preferably in a hospital or diagnostic center.
- Proficient in operating ultrasound machines and interpreting imaging results.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and pathology relevant to diagnostic imaging.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, explain procedures, and collaborate with medical teams.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, local regulations).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or on-call shifts, as needed.
