Responsibility
- Perform a wide range of ultrasound scans, including whole abdomen, thyroid, breast, KUB, and HBT, adhering to established protocols and turnaround time targets.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures while maintaining high standards of image quality and diagnostic accuracy.
- Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to provide preliminary findings and assist in diagnostic interpretations.
- Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.
- Document patient information, scan details, and findings accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Educate patients on the ultrasound procedure, addressing any concerns and ensuring a positive experience.
- Adhere to infection control and hygiene protocols to maintain a sterile and safe imaging environment.
- Participate in continuous professional development and training to stay updated with advancements in ultrasound technology.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or a related field.
- Certification or licensure as an Ultrasound Technologist (e.g., ARDMS, RDMS, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in performing diagnostic ultrasound scans in a clinical or hospital setting.
- Proficient in operating ultrasound equipment and interpreting imaging results.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to diagnostic imaging.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
