As a Transmission Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer, you will be the first line of defense in ensuring the seamless operation of our transmission networks. Your expertise will be critical in monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving network faults to maintain optimal performance and reliability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to proactively identify and mitigate potential issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.

Responsibility
- Monitor and manage transmission network performance, availability, and capacity in real-time using advanced NOC tools and systems.
- Perform first-line fault diagnosis, isolation, and resolution for transmission network incidents, ensuring rapid restoration of services.
- Coordinate with field engineers, vendors, and third-party providers to escalate and resolve complex network issues.
- Generate and analyze network performance reports, identifying trends and recommending proactive improvements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, incidents, and resolutions for compliance and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in network maintenance activities, including software upgrades, patch management, and hardware replacements.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of network expansions, upgrades, and new service deployments.
- Provide 24/7 on-call support as part of a rotational shift schedule to ensure continuous network operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in transmission network operations, NOC support, or telecom infrastructure management.
- Strong knowledge of SDH, DWDM, MPLS, microwave, and fiber optic transmission technologies.
- Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., HP OpenView, SolarWinds, Nagios, or similar).
- Familiarity with ITU-T, IEEE, and 3GPP standards for transmission networks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent in transmission technologies are a plus.
