The Municipal Government of Daanbantayan, Cebu is seeking a dedicated and disciplined Traffic Operation Officer I to join our team in the Bicol Region. As a Traffic Operation Officer, you will serve as a frontline representative of the local government, acting with professionalism and integrity in every interaction. Responsibility
- Monitor and regulate vehicular traffic flow at designated intersections and high-congestion zones.
- Enforce municipal traffic laws, rules, and regulations consistently and fairly.
- Respond promptly to traffic accidents or emergencies and coordinate with local law enforcement when necessary.
- Issue traffic citation tickets to violators according to established protocols.
- Assist pedestrians, particularly school children and the elderly, in crossing busy streets safely.
- Report road hazards, damaged signage, or malfunctioning traffic lights to the appropriate department.
- Maintain accurate daily incident logs and prepare detailed reports for management review.
Qualifications
- Completion of at least two years of college studies or equivalent relevant training.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Good physical stamina for standing and patrolling for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of local traffic laws and road safety standards.
- Proven record of integrity, punctuality, and professional conduct.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license (motorcycle endorsement is a plus).
- Ability to work on shifting schedules, including weekends and holidays.
