Responsibility
- Monitor and manage traffic flow within the Sandakan operations facility to ensure smooth and safe movement of vehicles and personnel.
- Enforce traffic safety regulations and protocols to minimize risks and prevent accidents.
- Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to optimize vehicle routing and scheduling.
- Conduct regular inspections of traffic management systems and equipment to ensure functionality and compliance.
- Develop and implement traffic management plans for special events or high-traffic periods.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on traffic safety procedures and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of traffic incidents, violations, and corrective actions taken.
- Collaborate with local authorities and emergency services to ensure compliance with traffic laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Logistics, Transportation, Safety Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in traffic management, logistics coordination, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of traffic safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick, informed decisions in dynamic environments.
- Proficiency in using traffic management software and tools.
- Valid driver’s license and familiarity with vehicle operations.
