Responsibility
- Process and manage Import/Export Documentary Letters of Credit (L/C) in compliance with UCP 600 and ISP98.
- Verify and validate trade documents (e.g., invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin) for accuracy and compliance.
- Liaise with banks, clients, and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies in trade finance transactions.
- Monitor and ensure timely settlement of trade finance instruments to mitigate financial and operational risks.
- Maintain accurate records of all trade finance transactions and prepare reports for management review.
- Collaborate with compliance teams to adhere to anti-money laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations.
- Provide guidance to clients on trade finance products, including L/C, bank guarantees, and standby letters of credit.
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency in trade finance operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Trade Finance Operations, preferably in a banking or financial institution.
- In-depth knowledge of Documentary Letters of Credit (L/C), UCP 600, and ISP98.
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations, Incoterms, and SWIFT messaging.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and trade finance software (e.g., Misys, Finacle).
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Indonesian) are a plus.
- Certifications such as CDCS (Certified Documentary Credit Specialist) or CSDG (Certified Specialist in Demand Guarantees) are highly advantageous.
