This is a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects while enjoying the vibrant work-life balance of Bali—whether you're based in Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, or Kuta.

Responsibility

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with international trade laws, sanctions, and export/import controls.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the deugro group’s Trade Controls Compliance Program, including policies, procedures, and training.
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential compliance gaps in trade operations.
  • Collaborate with legal, logistics, and finance teams to resolve trade compliance issues and mitigate risks.
  • Stay updated on changes in global trade regulations (e.g., ITAR, EAR, EU Dual-Use) and advise stakeholders on implications.
  • Prepare and submit accurate trade documentation, including licenses, permits, and customs declarations.
  • Investigate and report any suspected violations of trade controls, ensuring timely remediation.
  • Provide guidance to internal teams on restricted party screening, classification, and due diligence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Law, Business, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CITP, CCS) are a plus.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in trade compliance, customs, or export controls, preferably in logistics or manufacturing.
  • In-depth knowledge of global trade regulations (e.g., WCO, INCOTERMS, U.S./EU/APAC trade laws).
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory frameworks to real-world logistics scenarios.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with trade compliance software (e.g., SAP GTS, Amber Road) and screening tools.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, German) are advantageous.
