Responsibility
- Negotiate freight rates with carriers and feeders for SOC (Shipper-Owned Container) and COC (Carrier-Owned Container) shipments.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, carriers, and logistics partners.
- Analyze market trends and competitor pricing to ensure competitive and profitable rate structures.
- Prepare and present pricing proposals to internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Monitor and report on freight cost fluctuations, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to align pricing strategies with business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies in all pricing activities.
- Maintain accurate records of negotiations, agreements, and pricing data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in freight pricing, logistics, or a similar role.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with logistics or pricing software.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and trends.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations and industry standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
