Responsibility
- Prepare and serve high-quality Thai-inspired teas, including milk teas, fruit teas, and specialty blends, following Numu’s authentic recipes.
- Provide exceptional customer service, greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and ensuring a seamless dining experience.
- Educate customers about tea ingredients, brewing methods, and flavor profiles to enhance their appreciation of our products.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked barista station, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and manage the POS system with accuracy and efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels for tea leaves, syrups, and toppings, and communicate restocking needs to the management team.
- Stay updated on seasonal menu changes, promotions, and new product launches to upsell and recommend items to customers.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a barista, preferably in a tea or specialty beverage establishment.
- Strong knowledge of tea preparation techniques, including brewing temperatures, steeping times, and flavor pairing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and consistency.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills for accurate order processing and transactions.
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer literacy.
- Passion for Thai culture, tea, and hospitality with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the café’s operating hours.
