Responsibility
- Lead and manage the teppanyaki kitchen team, ensuring smooth operations and high standards of food preparation and presentation.
- Create and execute a diverse menu of teppanyaki dishes, incorporating fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
- Perform live cooking demonstrations with flair and precision, engaging guests and enhancing their dining experience.
- Train and mentor junior chefs, fostering a culture of continuous learning and culinary excellence.
- Maintain strict hygiene and safety standards in compliance with local health regulations.
- Collaborate with the restaurant management team to develop promotional events and seasonal menu offerings.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for kitchen supplies to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Handle guest feedback professionally and implement improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Teppanyaki Chef, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise in Japanese cuisine, particularly teppanyaki-style cooking.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a kitchen team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for engaging with guests.
- Certification in food safety and hygiene practices.
