The Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (HASS) Cluster at the prestigious Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) is seeking dynamic and visionary academics to join our team as a Tenure-Track Faculty Member in Psychological Sciences. Responsibility
- Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Psychological Sciences, with a focus on interdisciplinary applications in technology, design, or social sciences.
- Lead and publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals, securing external funding to support innovative projects.
- Mentor and supervise students in research, thesis projects, and academic development.
- Collaborate with faculty across HASS and other clusters (e.g., Engineering, Design) to foster cross-disciplinary initiatives.
- Contribute to curriculum development, ensuring alignment with global academic standards and industry needs.
- Engage in service to the university, including committee work, academic governance, and community outreach.
- Build partnerships with industry, government, and non-profit organizations to apply psychological insights to real-world challenges.
- Participate in international conferences, workshops, and public lectures to enhance SUTD’s global reputation.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Psychology or a closely related field (e.g., Cognitive Science, Behavioral Neuroscience, Social Psychology).
- Demonstrated record of high-quality research with publications in top-tier journals.
- Experience in teaching at the university level, with a commitment to student-centered and innovative pedagogy.
- Strong ability to secure external research funding and manage collaborative projects.
- Expertise in interdisciplinary research, particularly at the intersection of psychology and technology, design, or social sciences.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work in diverse, multicultural teams.
- Familiarity with emerging trends in psychological science, such as AI-human interaction, behavioral economics, or digital well-being.
- Willingness to relocate to Bali, Indonesia and contribute to SUTD’s expanding regional initiatives.
