Responsibility
- Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on ice cream production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Monitor and maintain utilities such as refrigeration systems, compressors, and electrical components to support uninterrupted production.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions proactively.
- Collaborate with the production team to diagnose technical problems and provide timely solutions to minimize disruptions.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and spare parts inventory.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Train and mentor junior technicians on best practices, safety protocols, and equipment handling procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting upgrades or modifications to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in the food and beverage or manufacturing industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of industrial machinery, refrigeration systems, and electrical components.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance schedules and predictive maintenance techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., OSHA) is a plus.
- Willingness to work in shifts and adapt to the demands of a fast-paced production environment.
