Responsibility
- Set up, calibrate, and operate stamping machines and progressive dies to meet production specifications and quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on stamping equipment to minimize downtime and extend machinery lifespan.
- Develop and optimize stamping processes, including tooling adjustments, feed rates, and material handling, to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., design, quality control, production) to resolve technical issues and improve product consistency.
- Conduct first-article inspections and in-process quality checks to ensure compliance with customer and industry standards (e.g., ISO, AS9100).
- Document process parameters, maintenance logs, and non-conformance reports to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Train and mentor junior operators and technicians on stamping best practices, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
- Stay updated on emerging stamping technologies, materials, and industry trends to recommend process upgrades or equipment investments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field. Diploma holders with extensive experience will also be considered.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in stamping operations, tool and die maintenance, or precision metal forming.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of stamping presses, progressive dies, coil feeding systems, and material handling equipment.
- Experience with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines), hardness testers, and other metrology tools for quality assurance.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or 5S methodologies is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal) to collaborate with international teams and clients.
