Responsibility
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in port equipment (e.g., cranes, container handlers, automated systems) to minimize operational disruptions.
- Lead service recovery efforts during equipment failures, ensuring rapid restoration of functionality and adherence to safety protocols.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and execute maintenance plans, including predictive and preventive maintenance strategies.
- Monitor equipment performance metrics and generate reports to identify trends, inefficiencies, or potential risks.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers and maintenance staff on equipment operation, troubleshooting, and best practices.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs, upgrades, or parts procurement.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, PSA policies, and local/regional safety and environmental regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in equipment maintenance, service recovery, or field engineering, preferably in port, logistics, or heavy machinery industries.
- Strong technical expertise in hydraulic systems, PLCs, automation, or industrial machinery with hands-on troubleshooting skills.
- Proven ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments with a focus on problem-solving and decision-making.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and data-driven maintenance tools.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call duties for emergency service recovery.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian or other regional languages is advantageous.
