Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end mechanical supplier quality programs for Googleâs global data center infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry-leading standards.
- Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and operations teams to develop and implement supplier quality strategies for mechanical components (e.g., cooling systems, structural elements).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier performance, reduce defects, and optimize cost-efficiency in mechanical systems.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits of mechanical suppliers, identifying gaps and implementing corrective actions to mitigate quality risks.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to track supplier quality metrics and program success.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison between Google and mechanical suppliers, resolving quality issues and fostering long-term partnerships.
- Lead cross-functional projects to innovate mechanical systems, ensuring scalability and reliability in data center operations.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration in supplier quality management.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in supplier quality management, program management, or mechanical engineering, preferably in data centers, manufacturing, or large-scale infrastructure.
- Proven track record of managing mechanical supplier quality programs, including audits, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
- Strong technical expertise in mechanical systems (e.g., HVAC, cooling, structural components) and familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ASME).
- Experience with data-driven decision-making, including KPIs, dashboards, and root cause analysis (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and suppliers.
- Certifications such as CQE (Certified Quality Engineer), PMP (Project Management Professional), or Six Sigma are a plus.
- Ability to work remotely in Bali, Indonesia (Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, or surrounding areas) with occasional travel to global data center sites.
