Responsibility
- Lead the end-to-end program management of Googleâs colocation infrastructure projects, from planning to execution, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with hardware engineering, network operations, and site reliability teams to optimize data center performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategies for capacity planning, power/cooling optimization, and disaster recovery to maintain 99.99% uptime for Googleâs global services.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and SLAs to ensure high-quality delivery of colocation services and infrastructure components.
- Drive cross-functional initiatives to improve operational efficiency, reduce latency, and enhance sustainability in data center operations.
- Identify and mitigate risks in infrastructure programs, proactively addressing technical debt and bottlenecks to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including project plans, risk assessments, and post-mortems for continuous improvement.
- Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the infrastructure organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 5+ years of experience in technical program management, with a focus on data center infrastructure, colocation, or large-scale hardware deployments.
- Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment, with experience in Agile or hybrid methodologies.
- Strong understanding of data center technologies, including power/cooling systems, networking, and server hardware.
- Experience with vendor management, contract negotiations, and SLA compliance in infrastructure projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and drive data-driven decision-making.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences.
- Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or Google Cloud Professional are a plus.
