Responsibility
- Lead and manage the day-to-day technical operations of third-party colocation data centers, ensuring adherence to Google’s operational and security standards.
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and cooling systems to guarantee optimal performance.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
- Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to coordinate upgrades, expansions, and emergency response efforts.
- Monitor and analyze data center performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and cost optimization.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety protocols, and environmental sustainability initiatives.
- Manage incident response and root cause analysis (RCA) to minimize downtime and prevent recurrence.
- Mentor and train technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in data center operations, colocation management, or critical facility infrastructure.
- Proven expertise in managing electrical power systems, HVAC, cooling, and fire suppression systems in large-scale data centers.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards (e.g., Uptime Institute, TIA-942, ISO 27001) and compliance requirements.
- Experience with vendor management, contract negotiations, and SLA enforcement for third-party facilities.
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and project management skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal); proficiency in Indonesian is a plus.
- Willingness to travel occasionally and work flexible hours, including on-call rotations for critical incidents.
