Responsibility
- Conduct routine inspections of railway tracks, signals, and associated infrastructure to identify potential issues or defects.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including lubrication, adjustments, and component replacements, to ensure optimal system performance.
- Execute corrective maintenance activities to address faults, malfunctions, or damage in railway systems promptly and efficiently.
- Document inspection findings, maintenance activities, and repair works in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to analyze recurring issues and recommend long-term solutions to enhance system reliability.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and industry regulations to minimize risks and ensure a secure working environment.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and technologies to assess the condition of railway infrastructure and validate maintenance outcomes.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff and contractors during maintenance operations.
Qualifications
- A Diploma or Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in railway infrastructure maintenance, inspection, or a similar role within the transportation sector.
- Strong knowledge of railway systems, track components, signaling, and electromechanical equipment.
- Familiarity with maintenance management systems and diagnostic tools used in railway operations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Certification in railway safety standards (e.g., ISO, local regulations) is a plus.
