Responsibility
- Perform routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of low and high voltage electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor and analyze power grid operations, identifying and resolving potential issues to prevent downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute maintenance schedules in compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct fault diagnosis and troubleshooting for electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, and protection systems.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements in all operational activities.
- Document maintenance activities, system performance, and incident reports for continuous improvement.
- Assist in the implementation of new technologies and upgrades to enhance grid efficiency and reliability.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff and contractors as needed.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical power grid operations, maintenance, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of low and high voltage systems, switchgear, and protection schemes.
- Familiarity with SCADA systems, substation automation, and grid monitoring tools.
- Certification in electrical safety (e.g., LV/HV switching authorization) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive approach to maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work in shift patterns or on-call duties as required by operational needs.
