Responsibility
- Laboratory Leadership: Manage daily operations of the calibration lab, ensuring adherence to ISO/IEC 17025 and other relevant standards.
- Quality Assurance: Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems to guarantee accuracy and reliability of calibration results.
- Team Development: Mentor, train, and supervise a team of calibration technicians and engineers to enhance technical competencies.
- Compliance & Audits: Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring full compliance with regulatory and industry requirements.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements in calibration procedures, equipment, and workflows to boost efficiency and precision.
- Client Relations: Serve as the primary technical liaison for clients, addressing inquiries and ensuring satisfaction with calibration services.
- Equipment Management: Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and certification of all laboratory instruments and reference standards.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and review technical reports, certificates of calibration, and other documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Metrology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 8+ years in calibration, metrology, or quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Certifications: Certification in ISO/IEC 17025, NIST, or equivalent metrology standards is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in calibration of electrical, mechanical, dimensional, or thermal measurement instruments.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a technical environment.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and precision.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Software: Experience with LabVIEW, MES, or calibration management software is an advantage.
